Jerry grew up in Staffordshire farming with his close friends on a mixed livestock farm with the main enterprise being a Canadian Holstein dairy herd and commercial egg-producing poultry flock – little did he know at the time as a “Staffordshire Young Farmer” that he then would spend the rest of his career supporting people and their flocks in the poultry sector through his career in animal health.
He has spent over three decades working in the animal health sector across a broad range of geographies and is recognised as a mentor and coach of people within the sector across a broad range of roles having developed many bright talents for today and the future.
Outside of work, Jerry is an active outdoors person – an enthusiastic river fly fisherman, long-distance cyclist and Iron Man.
Jerry has been an EPIC committee member for the last decade and currently holds the post of Chairman of the committee.
