EPIC Golf Competition – Tuesday 26th September 2017 – Carden Park Hotel, Golf Resort and Spa
I am very pleased to inform you that the Egg & Poultry Industry Conference Golf Tournament will once again be held at Carden Park Hotel, Golf Resort and Spa on Tuesday the 26th of September 2017.
Boasting superb golf courses and terrific facilities within the hotel grounds. Carden Park is the ideal home for the EPIC golf competition. We have negotiated the Cheshire course for our exclusive use for the day and we will play 27 holes of golf starting with a 9 hole scramble in the morning and then the 18 hole stableford competition for the EPIC Golf Trophy in the afternoon. Once again the day will conclude with dinner and prize giving. As we are there to relax and enjoy ourselves the dress code for dinner will be smart casual. As the course is ours for the day we have the luxury of a shotgun start for the afternoon competition eliminating any waiting time at the end of the day for others to complete their rounds.
For those who require accommodation we have arranged a special rate with the hotel, please quote EPIC when booking to secure this rate. In addition to excellent prizes provided by the generous support of our sponsors, the winner of the competition will also be invited as a special guest of the EPIC Organising Committee to the 51st Egg and Poultry Industry Conference at Celtic Manor Resort on the 29th and 30th of October. This prize with a value in excess of £500 includes all meals, conference registration and accommodation for 2 nights. The EPIC golf trophy will be represented at the Sunday evening informal dinner.
Coffee and Bacon Rolls will be available on arrival (from 8.45am) and the morning scramble will commence at 9.30 am. Tee times for the morning will be on a first come first served basis and as it is mainly a warm up for the afternoon we may have to put some people off from the 10th. Soup & sandwiches will follow the morning 9 holes then it is back out for the final 18 holes stableford in the afternoon starting at 1.45 pm. As most wanted buggies last year these have been included in the costs and golf buggies are available for everyone so there is no need to book them separately. Dinner and prize giving will complete the day.
There will be four players to each team so why not invite colleagues, customers or guests to join you for the day. The competition is open to anyone within the poultry industry and if I have inadvertently missed anyone from this email please feel free to bring it to their attention. This is hopefully a relaxed day and we welcome both high and low handicappers to take part.
Thanks to support from major sponsors including The EPIC Organising Committee, PD Hook, Cobb Europe, Aviagen and other sponsoring companies we have been able to keep the cost of the event down to a very reasonable £96.75, but, as this is essentially a self supporting event any additional support is always welcome, if there are any companies who can help out with costs or golf related prizes then they will be very gratefully received and acknowledged.
