Connor joined McDonald’s UK in November 2013 as Supply Chain Director.
McDonald’s operates over 1250 restaurants with over half open 24/7, employing almost 100,000 people. Operating in every nation and region in the UK, over 70% of the UK restaurants are operated by franchisees and through these restaurants, distribution networks, headquarters and supply chain, McDonald’s has contributed £43 billion to the UK economy in the 41 years serving the UK.
Within Supply Chain, Connor and his team work with over 17,500 British and Irish farmers and over 130 suppliers to source ingredients, manage logistics and ensure quality standards to satisfy the 3.5 million customers who walk through the doors each day. Connor’s remit also includes accountability for McDonald’s UK nutritional and sustainability strategies to support the global ambition to strengthen the nutritional profile of our menu items and develop and operate environmentally efficient McDonald‘s restaurants.
With over 20 years’ experience in the food retail sector, Connor previously held the role of Category Buying Director at Morrisons and spent 16 years in a number of senior Trading and Operational roles at Sainsbury’s.
